Ada sebuah layanan untuk menganalisa, mengetahui dan mendeteksi virus yang ada di file komputer anda secara online. Situs ini adalah virustotal. Anda bisa menggunakan fasilitas pendeteksian virus secara gratis. Virustotal adalah sebuah layanan yang hanya memfasilitasi pendeteksian virus bukan sebagai antivirus. Ketika saya mencoba beberapa file untuk di analisa oleh virustotal yang terindikasi kena virus tapi tidak terdeteksi oleh antivirus, hasilnya ternyata memang terkena virus yang tidak mampu terdeteksi oleh antivirus yang ada di komputer saya.

VirusTotal adalah layanan dikembangkan oleh Hispasec Sistemas, seorang IT Keamanan laboratorium independen, yang menggunakan versi baris perintah beberapa mesin antivirus, diperbarui secara teratur dengan file tanda tangan resmi diterbitkan oleh masing-masing pengembang.
